SJSU Student Information
Each student should choose a faculty advisor within the Department as soon as possible after entering an NuFS/Pkg degree program.
Student Advisors (pdf file)
The NuFS/Pkg Department trains both senior and graduate students to act as peer advisors. These advisors are available to current and prospective students and can answer questions about which classes to take, competency exams, the different programs available within the department and various other topics. Please see the above pdf file for the current semester's drop-in student advisor schedule. Both bachelors and masters students are welcome.
Lockers for student use are located in the Central Classroom Building, across from CCB 108. The small lockers are for students enrolled in Nutrition and Food Science laboratory classes, such as NuFS 101A, NuFS 103, NuFS 108A, and NuFS 111L, and assigned at the beginning of the semester only for the semester. Students must supply their own lock. The large lockers are for graduate students currently conducting research. Students must see the Department Technicians in CCB 116 to arrange their use.
