Application for Award of the M.S. Degree

Early in February or September, the beginning of the semester in which you plan to graduate, you must file the Application for the Award of Master's Degree form. It is your responsibility to file the application and to observe the deadline dates set by Graduate Studies and Research. 

The application must be submitted, with a fee of $25.00 paid at the Cashier's Office, to schedule your clearance of degree. Once the fee is paid and the cashier has stamped the application, bring the completed form to the Graduate Studies and Research. You must have received Candidacy approval from Graduate Studies before this application will be accepted.

If you do not complete graduation requirements in the semester of original application, you may reactivate your graduation for a future date using the Reactivation form. A fee of $10.00 is paid at the Cashier's Office before returning the form to Graduate Studies and Research. You must file this form within the same published deadlines as for an Application for Award of Master's Degree form. All Master's degree requirements must be cleared on or before the official graduation date and within seven years from the first completed course listed on the Candidacy petition.
