Degree Requirements for Plan A Thesis

Maintenance of a 3.0 of GPA is necessary. A comprehensive final oral examination is required and will be of such scope and manner as determined by the student's graduate committee.

The student is required to complete the 10 units of core courses. Additional units must meet requirements of the program objective the student has chosen.Fifteen or more units must be approved 200-level courses including NuFS 299 Master's Thesis. A maximum of 6 units Master's Thesis (NuFS 299) is allowed. See thesis information for steps in completing thesis. 

Present at least two officially bound copies of your Thesis to the Department of Nutrition and Food Science and to your graduate advisor. Submit a bound copy to each faculty member or other person with whom you collaborated, as appropriate. (These bound copies are in addition to the three copies submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies.) Inquire of all committee members whether they wish to have a copy and provide copies as requested.
