Annual Mandatory Training for National School Lunch/Breakfast Program Sponsors: RCCIs

Welcome to the
2007 Annual Mandatory Training for National School Lunch Program (NSLP)/School Breakfast Program (SBP) sponsors. This new online training program is sponsored by the California Department of Education (CDE), Nutrition Services Division (NSD), and the Cal-Pro-NET Center at San Jose State University.

This is mandatory training for all school districts, charter schools, private schools and residential child care institutions who are NSLP/SBP sponsors. Your fulfillment of the training requirement will be reported to the California Department of Education after you complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion.

The Training Modules, Quizzes, and Evaluation pages will be available online until December 31 , 2007. Please note, however, that the Quizzes and Evaluation pages will not be available from January 1 through January 31, 2008, but will become available again beginning February 1, 2008. During the Jan 1-31 period, the Training Modules will still be available. Your agency will be out of compliance with the NSLP/SBP regulations if you fail to complete this course, including the Quizzes and the Evaluation, by April 1, 2008 (please note 2-week extension of completion date).

Please complete the steps below in the order indicated. Step 1 is particularly important and contains information you will need before you can proceed to Steps 2 and 3.

Step 1. Course Overview, Instructions, and Requirements page

Step 2. Proceed to the Training Modules page

Step 3. Proceed to the Quizzes and Evaluation pages
